CK Senior Games

Let’s Just Suppose…

Suppose YOU were born on May 02, 1928.

Yep – nineteen and twenty eight. What do you suppose YOU would have been doing this past summer? Well, let’s also suppose you are Aldo Gonzalez – the same Aldo Gonzalez known for his years of volunteer work with the Lions Club and for his many years of smashing balls around over at the Chatham Tennis Club. The same Aldo who has been an active member (Executive Committee Treasurer) of OSGA’s Chatham-Kent District 33A.

Well, if you are the 91 years young Aldo, here is what you did.

You and your tennis partner – Tom Brunt – entered the 2019 Seniors 55+ Southwest Regional Games – paid your own fees – arranged transportation and accommodations – and then – you and Tom decided to win the Gold Medal for Men’s 75+ Doubles – and then you did it!!!

Well done Aldo. You represent some of the most AWESOME seniors here in Chatham-Kent.

COMING SOON – The CK OSGA District is offering 24 different local events. From April through to June – from Pepper, Euchre, and Bridge to Tennis, Floor Shuffleboard, and Slo-Pitch, OSGA Members (seniors 55+ in 2020) will compete for Fun, for Fitness, and for Friendship. YOU too can join this exciting organization.

For event information visit ckseniorgames.com, email ckseniorgames@gmail.com, or pick-up a Registration Package at your local Senior Activity Centre or Friendship Club.

AUGUST PROVINCIALS hosted by Peterborough are also coming soon. With that in mind, many local games are being held as “qualifiers” giving local medalists a chance to compete at Summer Provincials.

What a terrific chance to hang-up those winter blues. Volunteers are working now to ensure YOU enjoy an amazing and fun series of activities. They look forward to seeing YOU – and ALDO – at the Games!!
