Apple Crisp

INGREDIENTS

CRISP TOPPING:

  • 1/2 cup  all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup  oats
  • 1/2 cup  brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp   cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup  butter

FRUIT:

  • 6 cups  Gala apples, sliced
  • 3/4 cup  sugar
  • 2 tbsp  water
  • 1 tbsp  lemon juice
  • Vanilla ice cream

PREPARATION

TOPPING:

Combine flour, oats, brown sugar and cinnamon. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Set aside.

FRUIT:

Arrange apples in greased 9” square baking dish.Sprinkle with sugar, water and lemon juice.

Sprinkle topping evenly over fruit. Bake at 375ºF for about 40 minutes, or until fruit is tender-crisp.
